ABOUT Introducing SeatSelect, a web-based tool that puts seating choice in the hands of event attendees. SeatSelect exists exclusively online and does not require any downloads to run. Upon arriving at the site, users enter a pre-determined ID and Password for system log-in. Based on their unique information, they arrive at a page pre-populated with an event-specific seating plan that highlights available seats. If the user is scheduled to attend multiple functions, i.e., dinner and a team breakfast, each occasion’s seating plan will be available. Next the attendee simply chooses their preferred seat(s) and receives an email confirmation. In addition to shifting the responsibility of seating selection to attendees, the administrative features are an event planner’s dream. Planners can administrate other users, create and manage events, and run a variety of valuable, exportable reports.
